Boulder police continue to investigate a robbery at Vectra Bank

Boulder police are investigating a robbery at the Vectra Bank, located at 2696 Broadway. On May 14, at approximately 3:15 p.m., a man approached a bank teller with a note and demanded money. The suspect did not mention or simulate any weapons during the robbery. 

The suspect is described as a white male, late 20’s or early 30’s, approximately 5’5”-5’7”, heavy set, with ears that stuck out and buzz cut hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black long sleeve t-shirt, tan cargo shorts, light colored hiking boots, a black baseball hat and black rimmed prescription type glasses.

Several hours prior to the robbery the suspect was seen pacing along Broadway in front of the bank. After the robbery, the suspect ran eastbound on foot.  The suspect left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to call Detective Heather Frey at 303-441-3369. Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips may also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
