Iggy Azalea was born as Amethyst Amelia Kelly on June 7th, 1990. She is a recording artist and model from Australia. She came to the USA when she was 16 years old. She was offered a couple of modeling jobs. She recorded some songs and made videos for them that went viral online. They were highly controversial due to the song lyrics and provocative videos.
She made a couple of mixtapes in 2011 and 2012 that got noticed by rapper T.I. At that time, she was modeling for Levi jeans. By 2012, she was on the cover of XXL Magazine. She was the first female and the first person not from the USA to be on the cover of this rap music magazine.
She got a studio label contract and released her first official album in 2014. She has a couple of chart topping singles on it and overall, the album is doing quite well. She has been inspired to dance and write by Jennifer Lopez. The two often hang out as friends and as fellow songwriters.
She has spent some time with Katy Perry, but Azalea says that she worries Perry is on a road that won’t be good for her. She has put some distance between the two as she doesn’t want to become known as a partier. She wants to be taken seriously and it is important to her that the media doesn’t have garbage to report about her.
One of her favorite places to dine is In and Out Burger. Azalea says she has been known to eat there several days in a row! When she goes to Los Angeles, she will dine at Pollo Tropical. When she travels, she likes to do so in a helicopter rather than a large airplane.
One of her favorite ways to wear her hair is with stylish braids. She admits she can’t do a straight braid on her own. Thankfully, she has plenty of help of those around her to make her braids look perfect every time! When she leaves her hair down, she enjoys wearing a stylish cowboy hat.
Iggy Azalea began dating rapper ASAP Rocky in 2011. The couple dated for about a year, and got tattoos for each other on their bodies. In 2013, she revealed they were no longer together and she had made some changes to the tattoos. Since late 2013, she has been dating NBA star Nick Young.
