In reading all of the hype about body detoxing, the question comes to mind whether or not it is really necessary?

Advocates of body cleansing detoxes suggest that our bodies' not longer work at the levels that were designed to – compromised from chemicals or toxins that we encounter in our daily living. These chemicals and toxins come from over processed foods that we eat, chemicals used to grow them as well as alcohol, caffeine, smog and even from the less than perfect water we drink.

If our bodies fail to get rid of these toxins then we hold on to them in our lymph, gastro and digestive systems, right down to our tiny cells and after a period of time our bodies need to be detoxified. The best way is by using a holistic detox that includes a liver detox diet, kidney detox, colon cleansing detox and includes detox foods, liver supplements, saunas, juices and even fasting. Sounds like long list, but it does not need to be done all at once – but anything and everything helps.

Signs You Need Body Detoxing

Feeling tired, fatigued, suffer from nausea or frequent headaches? Are you running back and forth to the doctor only to find nothing is wrong? These can all be signs that your body contains a build up of harmful toxins – it is slowing down, breaking down and aging unnecessarily.

What Is Involved in Body Detoxing?

Detoxing is designed to assist the body in getting rid of the build up of harmful toxins. To do this you must at least temporarily, give up certain foods which you can re-introduce later if you decide you want to. Start by fast if you want quick results. But there are many types of natural body detox diets on the market. Some of the popular ones include the Lemonade diet, colon cleansing detox, liver detox diet , juice diets, liver cleanse and raw food diet; some are for just a few days, others go for weeks.

Cleansing the liver is believed to be a priority since this is the bodies "filter". There are lots of liver detox diets you can use to promote body cleansing but the important thing to remember is to go very specifically if this is your first detox.

Many famous people are great supporters of body detoxing not only because of improved health but also weight loss – a bonus side effect of body cleansing detox.

During a detox, the body benefits by drinking more water, drinking less caffeine and alcohol, eating more whole and plant based foods and less refined processed foods. If you choose to try a body cleansing detox make sure you consult your physician first, especially if you have a medical condition such as women who are pregnant or nursing, seniors, people with low blood sugars, eating disorders or some other chronic conditions.

The benefits of a body detox are so diverse that many body detoxing conversions will do at least two a year, sometimes more. Your approach should be to find a holistic detox, consider liver supplements, detox foods, kidney detox, liver cleanser, colon cleansing detox and use saunas and exercise to get the most while detoxing. Find a healthy detox that suits you and get your energy, health and vitality back.
