AND WE HAVE A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE TO TRACK. MORE ON THAT, COMING UP. SANIKA: TONIGHT, TAVARES POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING AN APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE. WESH 2’S MATT LUPOLI HAS MORE FROM NEIGHBORS WHO SAY THEY KNEW THE COUPLE. MATT: A HUSBAND AND WIFE, DESCRIBED BY FRIENDS AS INSEPARABLE >> THEY WENT EVERYWHERE TOGETHER. MATT: WERE FOUND DEAD IN THE HOME THEY SHARE ON GROVE COURT. OTHERS WHO LIVE ON THIS BLOCK IN TAVARES WOKE BEFORE THE SUN TO THE LIGHTS OF POLICE INVESTIGATORS SURROUNDING THE OTHERWISE QUIET COUPLE’S HOME. >> IT WAS SHOCKING. IT WAS VERY SHOCKING MATT: WHILE THEIR DEATHS ARE JARRING TO THOSE WHO KNEW THEM, TAVARES POLICE DETECTIVES SAY THE KILLINGS ARE NO MYSTERY. OVERNIGHT, A 911 CALL FROM THE HOME CAME INTO DISPATCHERS. A MAN ON THE OTHER END SAID HE’D SHOT HIS WIFE, AND WOULD SOON ALSO END HIS OWN LIF OFFICERS RUSHED TO THE HOME AND FOUND THE MAN AND WOMAN, LIFELESS. >> I’VE BEEN OVER TO THEIR HOUSE; THEY’VE BEEN OVER TO MINE MATT: NEIGHBOR DAVID GALLINETTI SAYS HIS WIFE IS IN THE SAME CARE FACILITY THAT THE WOMAN WHO DIED HAD SPENT SOME TIME. HE SAYS SHE’D HAD HEALTH TROUBLES, AND POLICE CONFIRM SHE RECENTLY SUFFERED A STROKE. NEIGHBORS SAY EVEN BEFORE SHE RETURNED HOME, HER HUSBAND RARELY LEFT HER SIDE. >> WOULD GO TO SEE HER EVE DAY, AND SPEND TEN TO TEN AND A HALF HOURS A DAY. THEY BOTH CARED A LOT ABOUT EACH OTHER, AND IT WAS OBVIOUS. MATT: NOW, STILL WITH QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED LEADING UP TO THE APPARENT MURDER-SUICIDE, DETECTIVES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE. Man shoots wife, then himself, at Tavares home, officers say

Authorities are investigating what led to a murder-suicide early Sunday morning. Tavares police responded to a home in the 1500 block of Grove Court.Officers said an older man called and confessed to shooting his wife and said he was going to shoot himself. When investigators arrived to the home, the husband and wife were found dead with gunshot wounds. Neighbors like David Gallinetti described the couple as inseparable, saying the pair was always together.Gallinetti said his wife is in the same care facility that the woman who died recently spent some time in.Gallinetti said she’d had health troubles and police confirm she recently suffered a stroke.”(He) would go to see her every day, and spend ten to ten and a half hours a day,” Gallinetti said.Detectives are still investigating what lead up to the shooting.

Authorities are investigating what led to a murder-suicide early Sunday morning.

Tavares police responded to a home in the 1500 block of Grove Court.

Officers said an older man called and confessed to shooting his wife and said he was going to shoot himself.
