Sealing an old drafting table. (complete noob)

October 23, 2019 in Woodworking

Hi everyone,

I have zero experience with this stuff so bear with me.

I bought my girlfriend who likes art an antique drafting table. It looks amazing in our living room, but I need something to take out the marks and bumps so when she is drawing it doesn’t interfere.

I don’t want to completely re-finish the top as we really like to look and color.

What would be your suggestion to even the marks out to make it completely flat?

Thanks!
