California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara on Wednesday toured the Sandalwood fire area in Riverside County, where two people died Thursday when Santa Ana winds pushed the blaze through parts of Calimesa including the Villa Calimesa Mobile Home Park.
Lara planned stops Wednesday and Thursday at Local Assistance Centers in Riverside and Los Angeles counties to meet with residents affected by the Sandalwood and Saddleridge fires.
