Four people were killed by gunfire over the weekend in Chicago.
According to Chicago Police Department data, 31 people were shot in 26 separate shooting incidents between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday. That included the four people killed and three teens who were wounded in a shooting at a CTA station Sunday afternoon.
A 27-year-old man was killed just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of West Division Street. He was outside on the street when he was shot multiple times by an unknown offender. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 30-year-old man was killed and a 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting just after 8 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Redfield Drive. They were both outside when an unknown person approached and opened fire. The 30-year-old was struck multiple times and pronounced dead at a local hospital. The second victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
