Tegan Bartholomew Brown, a founding member of Boulder’s first BSA troop for girls, is closing in on becoming the first female Eagle Scout in a three-state area and a member of the inaugural national class of female Eagle Scouts.

Bartholomew Brown on Sunday led a team of about 30 volunteers — masked and working in shifts in household groups — for a service project at Rocky Mountain Therapeutic Riding Center in Boulder for one of her Eagle Scout requirements.
