The Newington Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on John Street late Wednesday night.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a bullet entered the bedroom of a 9-year-old child around 11 p.m. and traveled through the child’s bed frame, police said.
Police said no one was injured in the shooting.
