1st Judicial District Internship Program – Fall 2019 and Spring 2020


The Judges in the 1st Judicial District (Jefferson and Gilpin County) are currently accepting applications for law student and law graduate interns for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters.  These internships are unpaid, but credit may be available through your school.


 


Reports To:


Each intern will report to a Judge and work directly with a law clerk and division clerk.


 


Skills:


Ability to take direction well, complete legal research and writing projects, and work with the public. 


 


Minimal Educational / Professional Qualifications:


Must be a law student or graduate from an accredited law school.

If you are interested, please send a resume, a short legal writing sample (3-5 pages), an unofficial transcript, and a cover letter indicating the area(s) of law that interest you (civil, criminal, domestic/juvenile), to 01LawInternships@judicial.state.co.us as soon as possible.  In the subject line of your email, please reference the semester(s) for which you are applying (i.e., Internship Application: Fall 2019). Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
