High pressure will bring a partly sunny sky Sunday and a sunny day Monday with highs well into the 40s.
This is after a storm Friday night into Saturday left a respectable snowfall in parts of the state.
Some of the higher amounts were: 5.3 inches in North Granby, 4.5 inches in Staffordville, 3.5 inches in Somers, and 3.4 inches in Suffield Depot.
Precipitation totals were: 1.26 inches in Norwalk, 1.17 inches in Stratford, 1.16 inches in New Canaan, and 1.13 inches in Bethany.
The wind gusted to tropical storm force along the shore with Greenwich having a 66 mph gust and Groton reaching 53 mph.
