I’m wondering if anyone here has ever plumbed a dryer vent to be dual purpose using the automatic gate systems for dust collection systems.
As a person with a tech background, I’ve been fascinated by the shop vac plumbing systems I’ve seen and the automation. I’m still working on space for a shop, but in the meantime I just happen to have another project with a heat dissipation problem that will live right next to an existing dryer vent.
I’m wondering how many problems the lint in the other feed would cause with such a system. I could drill another hole through the wall, but since I will be ducting the system anyway (to exhaust indoors when the temperature outside is below 65°) I figured I’d at least think about an integrated system.
Terrible idea? Would adapting a concentric vent pipe be a safer option?
