Fire hydrant flow test scheduled in North Kona : Big Island Now

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a fire hydrant flow test at Kealakehe Elementary School between the hours of 10 and 11 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2023.

Customers along Kealaka‘a Street between Palani Road and Manawale‘a Street, including all side roads and lanes, may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test.

Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal. Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, call Joshule Johnston and Dustin Kaneta-Ogata, District Supervisors, at 808-322-0600.
