JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.- The Coastal Georgia women’s golf team finished seventh on Tuesday after the final round of the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational at the Jekyll Island Golf Club.

The Mariners were led by freshmen Carlin Paulk and Morgan Herring who both placed in the top-20.

Newberry College held onto its lead, thanks to Noelia Adkins being the only player to finish under par.

Newberry was followed by Truett-McConnell, Southeastern, Milligan University, USCB, St. Thomas, Coastal Georgia, Reinhardt University, Bryan College, Midway University, Freed-Hardeman, Emory & Henry, Ave Maria and Montreat College.

Claire Wickes had the best finish among those competing as individuals and placed in the top-20 overall.

UP NEXT:

The Mariners will head to Greensboro, Ga. to play in the Newberry Tournament at the Harbor Club on Sept. 26-27.
