Chicago Fire Department first responders pronounced two of the victims dead at the site near West 111th Street and South Bishop Street where the targeted white SUV pulled over, Chief Juan Hernandez said. The other hospitalized victims were transported by other authorities. State police declined to say where the victims were hospitalized or confirm their ages.

“This investigation is still in its infancy. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further information is available at this time,” Robinson said.
