SoCal alt-pop duo The Habits introduce their new single/music video, “Amelia,” taken from their forthcoming EP, What’s The Worst That Could Happen?, slated to drop in October.
Made up of Wolf Bradley (vocals, guitar) and Andrew Macatrao (drums), The Habits met and grew up together in the blue-collar town of San Pedro. They started taking music lessons and then began jamming, followed by getting hooked. Once they began performing, they would play anywhere, hitting every bar, club, basement, and alleyway in greater Los Angeles.
In 2019, their single, “Casual,” topped KROQ’s ‘Locals Only” countdown, followed by national airplay on SiriusXM and DC 101, followed by releasing their self-titled EP. The summer of 2020 found their single, “After Party,” taking the same route as “Casual,” riding the summit of KROQ’s countdown.
The video for “Amelia” depicts a celebrity being interviewed on a talk show, whose host won’t allow her to complete a sentence, constantly interrupting her. Then he introduces the night’s musical talent – The Habits – fronted by her ex-boyfriend. The visuals are grand fun and the song is excellent.
