Broomfield residents can celebrate National Trails Day by biking or hiking in Anthem Community Park/Siena Reservoir on Saturday.

From 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., the annual Broomfield Trail Adventure will feature a new trail section and serves as the Broomfield 100 kickoff.

The trails are open for all ages and abilities, and the city recommends bringing good walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, water and sunscreen.

The main walking loop is about 2 miles long, going through the new Anthem 24 neighborhood trails and wraps around to Anthem Community Park. The biking loop is about 7 miles and will wind around Siena Reservoir, passing through Anthem Ranch trails and Open Space. There will also be a shorter loop available for those looking for a shorter walk.

The Broomfield 100 Challenge is an opportunity for participants to learn about Broomfield and its trail system by visiting loops and trails and sharing your visit on the online or physical passport. Physical passports will be available this weekend at Broomfield Trail Adventure.
