The annual fire hydrant flushing process is underway in Louisville.

According to an email from the city’s Public Works Operations Division, flushing commenced Monday and will continue until July 15.

Flushing will take place on weekdays beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.

Crews began the operation at the southside of West South Boulder Road between Via Appia Way and Colo. 42. Work will continue southward to the Dutch Creek neighborhood over the next several weeks.

Flushing signage will be placed around the areas that are being worked on daily to keep residents updated with flushing progress.
