MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- The Coastal Georgia volleyball team (7-8(0-3)) fell to St. Thomas University (7-4(3-1)) on Saturday by a score of 3-0.

The Mariners have now dropped three straight games while the Bobcats improved their winning streak to three. Coastal Georgia kept it close in the first and third sets losing by a score of 25-20 both times, however, St. Thomas dominated the second set, holding the Mariners to just nine points.

St. Thomas hitters found their spots as they hit .434 percent and limited their attack errors, recording just eight on 76 attacks.

Sophomore middle blocker Sydney Martin led the team with seven kills and Paula Perez Rosales was right behind her with six kills.

Perez Rosales led the team in digs, recording eight while setters Breanna Tanton and Rebecca Brown combined for 20 assists.

The Bobcats were led offensively by Amanda Allende who recorded 10 kills. Allende is second in the Sun Conference in kills per set this season with 3.44.

The Mariners will end its three-game road trip with a Sun Conference match against Southeastern on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 7 pm in Lakeland, Fla.
