BRUNSWICK, Ga.- Coastal Georgia Volleyball (7-5) will open up conference play on Saturday, Sept. 17 against Florida Memorial University (4-2, (0-1)) at 2 pm in the Coffin Gym.

The Mariners are coming off a fourth straight win as they beat LaGrange College on Tuesday 3-0.

Coastal Georgia was dominant on the net in that four-game stretch, hitting over .200 percent each game while holding their opponents to hitting under .090 percent and will look to continue that as they head into Sun Conference play.

The Mariners are 8-4 all-time against the Lions but have struggled as of late winning only one of their last five matchups including getting swept against them last season by a score of 3-0 each time.

Florida Memorial played its first Sun Conference game on Wednesday as they fell to Keiser 3-0.

The Lions had a rough time producing any offense as they hit -.011 as a team while allowing Keiser to hit .402 as a team. The Lions have allowed the highest opponent-hitting percentage in the conference this season.  

Freshman Caroline Souza leads the Lions in kills and points per set this season. While senior setter Agustina Busque is averaging 7.83 assists per set which ranks second in the Sun Conference.
