A mountain lion was injured Friday evening on Colo. 119 near Fourmile Canyon Drive.

According to Master Trooper Gary Cutler of the Colorado State Patrol, his agency received a call about the incident at 5:19 p.m. It’s not clear whether a vehicle hit the animal, but there is a vehicle at the scene that may have hit it.

The extent of the animal’s injuries are unknown at this time, but the mountain lion is still alive, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife is en route to try to cage the animal.
