KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The NAIA announced its 2022 National Award Day recipients on Thursday. Close to 11,000 individual student-athletes and 2,000 athletics teams were honored including 14 student-athletes and five athletics teams from Coastal Georgia. The NAIA uses this day to recognize those individuals and teams that excel in the classroom. To be recognized, teams must have a cumulative GPA above 3.0.
Coastal Georgia was represented by the Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams, the Men’s and Women’s Golf teams and the Softball team.
The 14 individuals that were recognized include Buchanan Miller (M. Golf), Elizabeth McGovern (Softball), Malarie Peacock (Softball), Cevana Wood (Softball), Gabriella Merced (Softball), Alexis Forbes (W. Basketball), Arthur Figuiere (M. Tennis), Marianela Landi (W. Tennis), Eva Rubio (W. Tennis), Caitlyn Napier (W. Tennis), Kelly Buker (W. Golf), Kristen Crooms (W. Golf), Emma Day (W. Golf) and Presley Smith (W. Golf).
