His is a familiar face on the tattoo scene, not as a tattooist – he tried that but realised it was not for him – but for the creativity he has brought to this world, reproducing the iconography of tattoo in jewellery and sculptures made of wood and silver. He chose the sacred heart as his emblem, because of its links with this Tuscan craftsman.
In this Postcard to Tattoo Life, Simone El Rana takes us inside his workshop in Arezzo and the tattoo shop he opened with his wife Rossella in the historic centre of this ancient Tuscan town. Amid crosses, religious symbols, rings and his infinite love of tattoo which has been his life for over twenty years now.
