A man and woman on a motorcycle were taken to the hospital Saturday following a crash with a vehicle.

According to Robin Ericson, Longmont police spokesperson, the crash occurred just before 12:30 p.m. at Colo. 66 and Erfert Street.

Ericson said the man and woman are thought to be in their early 50s and are not from Longmont. Both were taken to the hospital. Ericson said as of Saturday afternoon, the man’s condition was critical and the woman’s condition was serious.

There were two people inside the vehicle. Both sustained minor injuries.

The crash closed down part of Pace Street, but had reopened as of Saturday afternoon, Ericson said.

The crash remains under investigation. Ericson said anyone who may have witnessed it is asked to call Longmont Emergency Communication Center at 303-651-8501 and reference case number 22-3867.
