Superior Board of Trustees could vote on an agreement with OZ Architecture for architectural services regarding the former Land Rover dealership on Monday.

On June 17, the town approved the purchase agreement for the property and directed staff to transition the property and building to a use which provides greater value to the community.

The town’s 2020 budget includes funding to complete improvements to the 1500 Coalton Road building.

During the request for qualifications process, the town received eight submittals from different firms.

According to the staff report, the bid amount for OZ is $282,580. Other firms that submitted included Rodwin Architecture with $175,000, Studio Completiva with $29,234 which did not include pricing for all phases of work, and WORKSHOP8 for $160,850.

“Through the evaluation process, OZ Architecture was found to have submitted the most responsive proposal, including the strongest project team and the most relevant work experience,” according to the staff report. “The firm has completed a number of similar projects for municipalities throughout the region and across the state, and provided excellent references.”

The timeline for the project could conclude in fall 2020 with the opening of the new facility, according to the staff report.
