Hi friends! If you’re in need of some extra storage that doesn’t take up a ton of space, but serves up some serious functionality and style, then this DIY wall-mounted bar cabinet is for you! I teamed up with the kind and talented Sheri from Hazel and Gold Designs and the fine folks at PureBond® Plywood to bring you the FREE plans for this project! Now let’s drink to that!

How to make a DIY wall-mounted bar cabinetDid you know plywood could look this chic? PureBond® has recently released a new rough sawn plywood product and we’re pretty much in love with it! Sheri did an amazing job building this bar cabinet – I love how compact it is, yet she doesn’t have to sacrifice an ounce of functionality.

I mean, just look at that interesting rough sawn pattern on those boards. Isn’t it beautiful?

How to make a bar cabinet wall-mounted
This is the perfect beginner project – it’s a basic box with a hinged front and you can build it out of a single sheet of 3/4-inch plywood. If you’re looking for more convenience and ease of use, you could opt for the smaller 2×4 ft. project panels simply because they’re much easier to manage and ship than a full 8-foot sheet of plywood. The Home Depot has a convenient “ship-to-store” feature where you can purchase the panels online and have them shipped to your local store for free! Doesn’t get any easier than that, amiright? If it were any easier, this DIY bar cabinet would build itself!

Sheri wanted to have a surface to prepare drinks, so we brainstormed on the design and came up with this clever solution. The front is hinged so that it folds down to give her space to pour and mix drinks, then folds up neatly when not in use.

You can download the plans below, but be sure to visit Hazel and Gold for the full tutorial. Sheri shares her step-by-step photos and helpful tips and tricks as she was building her bar cabinet. Big thanks to PureBond® for partnering with us on this project – we’re so happy with how it turned out! Cheers to that!
