On August 27th, 2020, TikToker Ohbukster uploaded a video of himself performing a dance he created to the song “Whole Lotta Choppas” by Sada Baby (shown below). The video gained over 2.4 million likes in under a month.
On September 3rd, TikToker Charli D’Amelio performed the dance on her TikTok, garnering 9.3 million likes in under two weeks. TikToker xobrooklynne performed the dance on the same day, achieving 7 million likes in under two weeks. A few days later on September 7th, rapper Tyga performed the dance, getting over 18 million views and 3 million likes in a week. Later that day, David Dobrik performed the dance with nataliemariduena, garnering 2.9 million likes in a week.
On September 11th, StayHipp published an article about the dance. As of mid-September 2020, over 3.1 million videos have been uploaded using the sound clip on TikTok.
