FULLERTON, Calif.—The University of Hawai’i women’s tennis team (4-6, 2-1 Big West) swept  Cal State Fullerton, 6-0 on the road at the Titan Courts. Due to inclement weather, the match was postponed from Tuesday to be played on Wednesday.
 
The match started with the singles matches due to possible rain and no lights available at the courts. Hawai’i’s No. 2 Nikola Homolkova led things off with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Zoe Olmos. UH’s 116th-ranked Ana Vilcek followed with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Natalie Duffy at the top of the order. Playing on the No. 2 court, UH’s Satsuki Takamura dispatched CSF’s Milena Geborgyan, 6-0, 6-2. UH’s No. 4 Madison Kim clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Diana Yanotoskaya.
 
The final two matches were decided by third set super tie-breakers. On the No. 5 court, in a hard fought battle between two Lisbon, Portugal natives, Hawai’i’s Rita Pinto defeated Camila Garcia, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (4). Anna Kern sealed the Rainibow Wahine sweep by outlasting the Titans’ Kaytlin Taylor with a marathon 7-6 (1), 4-6, 1-0 (11) win.
 
The Rainbow Wahine face Long Beach State in its final match of this roadtrip on Thursday, March 16 at 12:00 p.m. HT.
