The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to open the 2023 college football season as the nation’s No. 1 ranked team. Fresh off of back-to-back national championships, FanDuel lists Georgia’s odds to win it all this year at +220, the best in the nation.

And given the amount of talent returning to Athens this season, those odds make sense. For a better understanding on the level of talent at UGA this fall, look no further than Phil Steele’s Preseason All-America teams. Georgia placed seven players across Steele’s first, second, third and fourth team. Again, that’s the most in the nation, with Alabama and Ohio State tied for second with six players each.

Georgia’s seven players, listed by which preseason team they made:

First Team:

TE Brock Bowers

C Sedrick Van Pran

LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson

Second Team:

S Javon Bullard

S Malaki Starks

Third team:

OL Tate Ratledge

DE Mykel Williams

Steele’s print edition of his 2023 College Football Preview should be hitting the shelves in the next few weeks, but you can get early access with the digital edition published to his website.
