The Lewes Police Department is asking for the public’s help in searching for a cannonball that was taken from the historic Cannonball House on Friday afternoon.
The cannonball, which was positioned on the side of Cannonball House, serves as a popular tourist attraction and symbolic landmark for the town of Lewes. The house was built around 1765 and was originally a home for pilots for the Bay & River Delaware.
