The defending back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs are coming off a 45-3 home win over Ball State. Georgia is 2-0, but has not played a Power Five opponent yet.

South Carolina lost 31-17 in the season opener against North Carolina. The Gamecocks’ offensive line allowed nine sacks and finished the game with minus-2 rushing yards. Quarterback Spencer Rattler played fairly well against North Carolina considering the circumstances. The Gamecocks won 47-21 against Furman in Week 2.

South Carolina was the last team to win on the road at Georgia. Georgia has won 20 straight home games since the Gamecocks knocked off the Dawgs in 2019.

  • Over-under: 54.5
  • Money line: Georgia -10,000; South Carolina +1,800

South Carolina at Georgia injury report:

Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey and running back Daijun Edwards both missed last week and should be considered questionable. Edwards is much more likely to play than McConkey. Georgia safety Javon Bullard’s status is in doubt thanks to an ankle injury.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart recently provided an injury update on a few banged up Bulldogs.

Advice and prediction

We think Georgia is going to win, but not cover against the Gamecocks. South Carolina is talented and upset Clemson and Tennessee late last season. South Carolina will keep things interesting before Georgia will find an offensive groove and gain some separation.

Prediction: Georgia 38, South Carolina 17
