The New York Jets have traded former Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Mecole Hardman to the Kansas City Chiefs. Hardman, who has just one catch for six yards this season, never felt at home with the New York Jets.

Hardman received far less playing time with the New York Jets than he was during the first four years of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs. Hardman played in five games for the Jets, but played in a career-low 10% of offensive snaps.

Mecole Hardman should have a larger role with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chief were looking for another target for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mecole Hardman played about half of the Chiefs’ offensive snaps during his time in Kansas City. Hardman’s best season in Kansas City came in 2021 when he recorded 59 receptions for 693 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns.

Hardman was not happy in New York

Hardman barely got to play with star New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is out for the year.
