University of Colorado Boulder researchers earned a record-breaking $684.2 million in funding during fiscal year 2022 to 2023, a 4% increase from the year prior.

The majority of the research funding, 71%, comes from federal agencies including NASA, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Commerce, the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense and the Department of Energy.

CU Boulder’s funding is part of the $1.6 billion awarded to all four CU campuses in that year, the highest in the system’s history. For more information, visit tinyurl.com/ycx9yar3.
