HAYDEN — A 74-year-old man died on Saturday afternoon, after being hit north of Hayden on Friday, according to Idaho State Police.

At about 3 p.m. on Friday, the man, who was from Sandpoint, reportedly was riding on an E-Bike north on U.S.- 95 when he crossed onto Lancaster Road. As he did so, he was hit by a Toyota Tundra.

The Toyota was driven by a 29-year-old man from Athol, who had been heading west on Lancaster Road and through the intersection of U.S. Highway 95, police said.

The man in the E-bike was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance. Police said he died at the hospital on Saturday.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
