Boulder Community Health Foundation receives $1M to support workforc…

The Boulder Community Health Foundation has received more than $1 million in funding support BCH health care workers and staff.

The Leo Hill Charitable Trust contributed this funding as a series of gifts. The last of this funding was given to the foundation on Sunday, which would have been the 100th birthday of Boulder business and community Leo Hill, for whom the trust is named.

According to a news release, the funding will be used to establish the Leo and Betty Lue Hill Legacy Endowment, which will support investments to help BCH improve its recruitment and retention of health care workers and staff.

“The Leo and Betty Lue Hill Legacy Endowment stands as a testament to a commitment that transcends mere philanthropy; it embodies a profound dedication to fortifying BCH’s invaluable human capital — the diligent staff and physicians who form the bedrock of the care we provide to the community,” BCH President and CEO Robert Vissers stated in the release. “With these augmented resources, the endowment accelerates BCH’s unwavering commitment to advancing critical workforce programs.”

Boulder Community Health is a nonprofit regional health care system serving Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
