Cold Saturday night; Sunshine, warm Sunday; Rain next week – WAKA 8

Saturday was a sunny but breezy day across central and south Alabama. Morning lows were cooler and more winter-like, in the low and mid 40s. However, daytime highs were in the upper 60s to low 70s. Wind speeds were sustained at 10 to 20 mph for much of the day, with gusts well over 20 mph at times. However, Saturday evening and night look less windy. Although, temperatures cool into the 30s by early Sunday morning.

Sunday looks mainly sunny and pleasant with highs near 70°. Temperatures trend even warmer next week, in the mid and potentially upper 70s Monday and Tuesday. Rain returns Wednesday as another cold front pushes into the southeast. Clouds and some showers linger Thursday. The rain chance increases again Friday. Rain also appears possible next weekend.
