WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — On Sunday afternoon, Firefighters from Bradley International Airport (BDL) and the 103rd Airlift Wing rushed to the runways in response to an in-flight emergency.
According to the Connecticut Airport Authority, a private aircraft encountered a mechanical problem while en route to BDL. Initial reports said the aircraft had flap issues.
They managed to land the aircraft safely at the airport around 1 p.m.
There was no impact to other flights.
