Heart Gallery Alabama to hold recruitment, information event

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Heart Gallery Alabama Junior Board will host its Kid at Heart recruitment and information event May 18. 

Michelle Bearman-Wolnek, co-founder and executive director of Heart Gallery Alabama, said the program is designed to let the public know about the nonprofit’s organization mission. The statewide organization typically focuses on supporting children ages 8-18 or those with special needs while in foster care. The event is set to take place from 4-8 p.m….
