Artists with autism showcase artwork at the Mattatuck Museum

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A first of its kind at the Mattatuck Museum: an exhibit featuring works by artists with autism.

“They’re free to be happy,” Helen Taylor said when describing a movement and mindset that is now brought to life on the walls of a museum. “They’re free to be the artists who they are.”
