Both directions of Diagonal Highway are closed due to a rollover crash in Niwot, according to officials.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said the crash was in the Boulder-bound lanes of  Diagonal Highway near Second Avenue in Niwot.

In addition to Boulder-bound lanes being closed at 83rd Street, dispatchers said Longmont-bound traffic was being diverted from Boulder through Airport Road.

Police radio traffic indicated one person was trapped in the overturned vehicle but that emergency crews were able to get them out and transport them to a hospital.
