A crash in the northeast Las Vegas Valley on Saturday afternoon sent six people to the hospital, including four minors, the Metropolitan Police Department said. One of the minors suffered critical injuries, police said.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m. in the area of North Nellis Boulevard and East Carey Avenue, and involved Mercedes and a Honda, police said.

Police asked that motorists use alternate routes while detectives investigate the scene.
