A woman is dead and three men also were shot in separate Hartford incidents – Hartford Courant

A woman is dead and three men are being treated for gunshot wounds after separate shootings in  Hartford late Thursday and early Friday, police said.

In the Friday incident, police officers responded to 40 Cleveland Ave. just before 1 a.m. after receiving reports of shooting and found two victims, a woman and a man, both in their twenties.

The woman was unresponsive on scene and was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. She was not yet identified by police.

The male at that scene was alert and conscious and also taken to an area hospital, police said.

Police said both of the victims were sitting in a vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Prior to the Cleveland Avenue incident, officers were dispatched just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday to Hartford Hospital for a shooting that had occurred in the 100 block of Seymour Street,police said.

The first victim, a 19-year-old man, had been taken to the hospital in private vehicle and was listed in critical condition, police said. A second victim, a man in his twenties, arrived at Hartford Hospital after being picked up by an ambulance while attempting to walk the hospital, police said

The second victim in that incident was listed in stable condition, police said. “The investigation revealed that the two victims were shot while in the area of 192 Seymour Street,” police said.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to both shootings and assumed the investigations, police said.
