MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — People in economically disadvantaged communities are gathering this week to learn more about ways to seek environmental justice.
Alabama’s first “Environmental Justice Summit” starts later today in Mobile at the Outlaw Convention Center. While most environmental efforts focus on wildlife or nature, environmental justice seeks remedies for the people affected by pollution, climate change and other issues.
