The Athletics’ spring training stadium in Mesa, Arizona is set for some upgrades.
A building permit submittal noted the 10,000-seat capacity stadium will see renovations to the facilities restrooms and locker rooms. Plans also call for adding a hydrotherapy room and a freestanding restroom near the batting cages.
The A’s and the city of Mesa representatives did not respond to request to comment Friday, on the planned innovation.
The A’s began playing at Hohokam in 2015 after the Chicago Cubs previously played there between 1997 and 2013, according to the city of Mesa, who owns the stadium.
The last time the stadium saw notable renovations was prior to 2015 spring training when the A’s began their preseason tenure there.
