Boulder’s Human Relations Commission announced Monday it is seeking proposals from local organizations to host events marking Indigenous Peoples Day on Oct. 14.
The commission on Wednesday doubled the size of the grants from $1,500 to $3,000.
Proposals are due by Monday, and priority will be give to community-initiated events, hosted by nonprofits, that promote knowledge about indigenous peoples in Boulder County. Other criteria include that events be free and open to the public, held within city limits and organized Oct. 11-14.
