A building was evacuated due to what appears to be a hazmat incident in southwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday morning.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the initial call for service came in as a sick person from the smell of gas on SW 40th Terrace. First responders could be seen treating several people at the scene.
The fire department did not immediately confirm the cause of the incident.
