Week 1 of the college football season saw two preseason national championship contenders take losses. The Clemson Tigers lost at Duke in a ugly 28-7 defeat. The LSU Tigers lost to the Florida State Seminoles.

LSU’s loss is not as bad as Clemson’s. In fact, LSU still has some of the best national championship odds after Week 1. No other team with national championship odds below +5,000 has suffered a loss.
