ST. JOHN — A couple Illinois residents believed responsible for a series of thefts at local Target stores were taken into custody after leading police on a chase that involved ignoring red lights and other traffic violations, St. John Police Chief Steven Flores said.
Police said they were called out shortly before 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve to the Target store located at 9885 Wicker Ave. in reference to suspects switching UPC bar codes on merchandise.
