HONOLULU – The Hawai’i women’s cross country team announced its 2023 schedule Thursday, made up of eight meets starting with the season-opening Big Wave Invitational on Sept. 2 at Kahuku Golf Course.
 
Following the season-opening meet at Kahuku, the Rainbow Wahine will stay home to compete in the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 16 at Kapi’olani Park while also taking part in the 24 Regional Preview on Sept. 18 in Reno, Nev. UH will then head to the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Ore., hosted by Willamette before returning to Hawai’i to compete in the HPU Invitational at Kahuku Golf Course on Oct. 7
 
The Rainbow Wahine will then spend the rest of the season competing on the road, starting with the Bronco Invitational on Oct. 14 hosted by Santa Clara in Sunnyvale, Calif. The Wahine then begin postseason competition Oct. 27 with the Big West Championship in San Luis Obispo, Calif. while the NCAA West Regional is set for Nov. 10 in Sacramento, Calif.
 
Hawai’i will have a young roster in 2023 with just three athletes returning from last year’s squad. The Rainbow Wahine will welcome 11 new athletes into the program, bringing in eight freshmen and three transfers.
