Four injured in Boulder Canyon crash Monday night – Boulder Daily Ca…

Four people sustained injuries Monday following a crash on Boulder Canyon Drive and Summer Access Road that had portions of the road closed for several hours.

At 4:55 p.m. on Monday along Colo. 119 at milepost 31, two cars collided, resulting in one person sustaining serious injuries and three others minor injuries. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this case, according to Colorado State Patrol.

A Jeep Wrangler driven by a 73-year-old woman from Boulder collided with another Jeep Wrangler driven by a 58-year-old man from Broomfield. Both sustained minor injuries, and the 58-year-old man was transported to the hospital.

Two passengers in the man’s vehicle were also injured. A 24-year-old man from Broomfield sustained serious injuries, while a 22-year-old woman from Delta had minor injuries. They were also transported to the hospital.

According to CSP, the Jeep Wrangler driven by the 73-year-old woman was traveling southbound on Colo. 119 when the crash occurred. The 73-year-old woman was traveling in the northbound lane when the 58-year-old man attempted to avoid a collision with the woman’s Jeep and swerved to the left. The 73-year-old woman attempted to correct her vehicle when she collided into the passenger side of the man’s vehicle.

Boulder Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist CSP.
